  • Ride to BB&B, Friday Aug 28

I will be leading a ride from the Birmingham area on Friday morning.

The ride will leave from the Jack's Restaurant at Jemison (I-65 S at exit 219). Rider's meeting at 7:00 AM with ride leaving at 7:15 AM. We will take I-65 to the Southern Blvd in Montgomery. A rest, fuel, pottie stop on the Southern Blvd. Then Southern Blvd to US 231, then right on to Virginia Loop Rd on the right. Then country back roads to Jim's house.

This time table will put us at Jim's in time to have lunch and pitch our tents before heading to Ft. Rucker.

For you with GPS's, I have attached the route. Jack's Jemison to Kalahan's.gdb

Let me know if you can make. I look forward to seeing you then.

    Martin.

If all is well, I look forward to joining you at Jacks. Thanks for planning and leading the ride. The road we take from Montgomery to Troy is a favorite ride and an ABEES checkoff.

I am going to try to meet you guys for the ride down. It is a little early in the morning for me, but if the weather is good I hope to make it.

I'd love to join in on this one. I just wish I had more vacation or sick days. They renew October 1st. I see that a lot more of them will be used on the Friday going to the monthly meeting. It just makes for a more relaxing weekend to wake up Saturday morning and already "be there."

I'm not familiar with where Virginia Loop Road is. I just don't spend enough time in AL. I need some help, but I would like to try and meet up with you and ride down the rest of the way.

                      Greg,

Are you planning on meeting us is Montgomery? If so we will be at the intersection of US 231 S and Virginia Loop Road. This is the first intersection south of Southern Blvd. We should be there about 9:00 & 9:15 AM.
