Here is a list of those folks who made the rally happen !!
1. If you worked and are not on this list, please let me know. I took it from memory and from the slips turned in to get your caps and/or shirts for working.
2. If you know someone who worked and dont' see their name let me know.

3. Also to our "cajun contingent" (as Vance calls you). If you don't see those guys you brought that worked so hard on pancake batter, and hauling boxes up and down stairs, etc., please send me their names to add to the list.

It would appear that almost all the club members that were at the rally were there to work. I would wish that a greater percentage of our members would attend the rally just to be there. There should be a way to encourage members to be there just to enjoy the rally and not feel like they are being pressured to work just because they are members. I remember a time when there were a lot of folks there just enjoying each others company. It is the State Rally but it's also a monthly meeting. Where were all those "FOBs" who are supposed to be an important integral component? Terese was there but she don't count.


I'm not complaining, just trying to make a point. Come support your club and have a good time!!

I've never heard of anyone being pressured to work just because they attended. I doubt anyone would treat them badly if they came and didn't volunteer.
Like everyone, several of the FOB's that usually work very hard at the rally had other obligations and plans this year.
Plenty of our regular members who generally attend and work or dont also had other plans this year and did not attend so I don't think we can single out ONLY the FOB's who did not attend. There is a large list of regular members who were not there either.
Sometimes folks just have other things to do, or other reasons they cannot attend, regular members or not.

But what I do is a small part of what is done in this club each month...... and of what has to happen to get the pre rally items done..... and then of course the rally itself. It takes everyone.
And as far as rally pre-planning, Vance does at least half of it in the months leading up to it.
But it takes that whole damn list of folks to make it happen, make it fun for the rally goers, and make it smooth sailing. And this year especially, I think they all did their jobs so well, it might have been the smoothest one we have ever had.
Hee hee, maybe all the garlic they kept sending me to the store for, was to ward off the vampires that usually cause trouble. I'm just sayin'..............
