I can't believe I'm going to miss the Chicken Rally again. We were there in '09 after the flooding rains had come through a few days before. Although it was wet, Jill and I had such a great time.

My sister and her family in South Carolina have been collecting items at several locations around Beaufort for the AL tornado victims. Her family and several friends will be trailering the goods to a donation point here in Alabama and volunteering the weekend of the Chicken Rally.

It's for a good cause and I didn't have the heart to tell her that maybe another weekend would be better...

Been coughing up feathers for a few days now I'm having a "Screaming Chicken" kit put my GS for the ride up to Huntsville, should give me a little more cackle and a few more kernels per mile. Okay I know I'm just being "corny". See y'all at Ditto. Chickens rule.

Great news. A new study out of Stanford states that moderate drinkers and heavy drinkers in adults age 55+ live longer than teetotalers. I will continue with an extrapolation stating if you combine that with good friends, camping, fun, and CHICKEN FEATHERS you may be able to live forever.

Well I'm having some "preventative medicine for longer life" right now.
Still printing signs, packing, and doing raffle ticket stuff and it's nearly 10 pm and I need to leave for the rally at 7:00 AM to stop by my son's place to get raffle tickets he sold, and 3 other stops on the way to the rally site for set up day.

I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off. So I'm kinda skeert that they may get confused and throw me on the smoker !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sitting in Dubai at a very nice resort getting ready to head back to the airport for my flight to Afghanistan. Club thumping music last night until 1:00 am and I was on the 19th floor! Oh well, I will be in my little cubicle this afternoon.

I will be back in September for another short visit.
