2009 Raffle tickets

There was a time when you were mailed tickets for the raffle if you had sold them in the past. Vance and Mari don't want to do that as too many tickets get lost or just not returned.

SO! it is important that you CONTACT THEM and get some tickets to sell. If you sell 4 books you get into the rally free. I have never had a problem doing that. Some members sell a lot more than that, I think Robert Munday is one that sells a large amount.

There are a lot of members that never come to the Chicken Rally and if you are one of those folks, step up and buy some for yourself to help support your club.

The tickets are real easy to sell, the first person I asked this year bought an entire book of 10.

I sold the winning ticket a few years ago to a good friend who still rides his R1150R and it gives me a warm feeling every time I see him.

Call Mari and get some! She has a full time job so she doesn't have time to bug you like I'm doing.

Thanks Jim! You are spot on. The tickets are easy to sell, if you just ask for the sale!

The bike this year is the all new 2009 F 800GS which has become one of the hottest sellers for BMW in the US anyway. This bike is valued at approximately 13K so it will be very important that we sell all 3500 tickets we have printed!

We did quit sending out tickets to members several years ago for the reasons you mentioned. However, if a club member would like to buy tickets directly, we will of course do that too. We will fill out the stubs and send your claim stub to you by return mail after receipt of payment. Anyone wanting to purchase tickets this way may contact us by email for complete details.

If you want tickets to sell, just let us know how many books and we will be glad to send them to you...postage paid!

The weather is starting to break...time to get out and ride. this is the best time to sell tickets...right off your bike at gas stops and other places when people approach you to comment on your bike...it's easy!

Thanks for everyone's help and support of this very important part of our rally program. And don't forget, all the proceeds are donated directly to the organizations that support our sport!

I've already had two internet sales from posting on my chat lists. They send a check made out to the club and I fill out their stubs and mail them back to them. So far
California and Nevada.

Plus everyone that walks up and asks you about your bike at a gas station or anywhere will usually buy one when you tell them it goes to the MC Safety Foundation and the Head Injury Foundation.

It really is easy. Just keep a book in your pocket or tank bag !!!

Send ticket stubs and money to Mari Harrelson. Listed in your blue club book. Or write me private and I'll send it in an e-mail.

Also, EVERYBODY, please go to the "Rally Volunteers" page (bottom of the list on the home page) and when that comes up go to the rally schedule. Scroll through the days, Thur thru Sun. and see all the jobs and times needed. Then you can pick your times and days and e-mail it back to me. I will add you and send and updated schedule back to the website.
