    I rode one!!!

I got to do a demo ride on one at BWM Motorcycles of Baton Rouge. Great ride!!!!!! Handles great, feels lighter than LT, easy to put on center stand. I can actually put both feet flat on the ground with my knees slightly bent. I'd have to read the user's manual on this one to learn about all the adjustments and stuff.

If it only had reverse. I've gotten used to not worrying how I park my LT.

The only problem I have is I CAN'T AFFORD ONE RIGHT NOW!!!

      Vance,

You mention the seat height being real low. Is it lower than the 1200LT? I owned an 02 LT for about 3 weeks. I flew to CT to pick it up in November 05, then road up to VT to stay with mom and the bros for a few days before riding back home. First day was VT to Manasa, VA. Second day was all the way home, 935 m iles or so.

What I found was that the seat was so low that my hips hurt. My right one kept cramping up. I also did not care for how low the handle bars were. I got a cramp in my lower back from them. Of course putting 1460 miles on the bike in 2 days was probably not a great test either. The engine was awesome and the heated seat and wind protection made it very comfortable. When I got to the VT border late that Thursday night, it was 22 degrees. I stopped for gas and people though I was nuts. I had them sit on the seat I just got off and they instantly felt the warmth and smiled.

One other thing I did not like was that the bike felt very plastic and cheap to me. It squeaked and creaked. I was not thrilled with the flagship being that quality, or lack there of. I know many people ride and love them so I guess that is just me.

I amanxious to test ride the GTL and the GT to see the difference. This may be the bike that I have been waiting for to enjoy riding with Suz'anne. If not this, then it will be an RT. I was close about a month ago, but I am still not ready until this time next year.

I head back over yonder on Sunday evening so I will not be able to make the Chicken Rally, but you guys all have a great time and I will see you this fall hopefully. Be back in Sept some time.

      Later,

      Steve
