  • We've lost David Bollinger

David Bollinger, long time club member, and previously owned the Cycle Stuff shop in Montgomery, was killed on his motorcycle yesterday in Louisiana. A 74 year old woman turned left in front of him and hit him inthe middle of the road. He was ejected from the bike and died at the scene.

Please remember Lucinda in your thoughts and prayers as she deals with the loss of her husband, best friend, and partner.

Here is a link to small article on the accident.

Myself, or someone will post the details of any services or arrangements as soon as we know them.

Lucinda would rather not receive calls right now, as she takes some time to digest this and deal with what has to be done.

She is not on the forums so postings to her would not be read. A card to their address in your blue club book would probably be best should you wish to send one.

Thanks Connie. I am deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. He was always fun, cheerful and supportive of the entire motorcycling community. He will be sorely missed by all of us. Our thoughts are surely with Lucinda at this time. David, thanks for your friendship and may you rest in peace.

Guess what more post about the ball game and red beans and rice than about a great American who got killed on his BMW, by a moron who should be charged with Murder 1st degree, a man who flew slicks in Viet Nam as a Air Medic SHAME ON YOU ALL!

Terrible news indeed. So many senless deaths like this every year. I remember David's name but cannot put a face to it. Maybe a picture with this post would be good so we can all remember him. Please pass on our thoughts and prayers to his family.

If someone else doesn't do it first today, I will see what pictures I have tonight at home and post one. That's a very good idea Steve.

This is so very sad to hear. Wanda and I shared a table with David and Lucinda in the dining room on the cruise last year. They were such a joy to be with. We enjoyed spending the dinners meals with him and Lucinda. We will have those fond memories to rember him by. He was a real motorcyclist. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lucinda and their family.

Gator's pic of David And Lucinda

I couldn't get the picture to post so I put the link to it for those of you who aren't familiar with how to get to members posted picture albums.

Most of the time you saw David he had some kind of hat on at the campouts. A cigar in hand, and a drink to refresh you with when you arrived.

                          He'll sure be missed.
