Another great day of riding and fantastic scenery. We left Vernon around 7:30 even though I was feeling poorly, darned cold or sinus. I had a sore throat all night but I cowboyed up and rode anyway. great temps all day until we came down off the mountain then got to 90. We decided to stay one more night in Canada and stopped around 3:00 in Cranbrook, B.C.
The 90 degree temps feel much worse when you've been riding all day in upper 60s and low 70s. we head into Montana in the morning and probably more heat. More to come.

It's supposed to be in the 60s across Kansas and Missouri at night. I think that would be preferable for me. There is nothing to see out there anyhow.

Yeh, but when we get to Colorado we'll be at the truck and an air-conditioned ride all the way home. It's like I planned it that way

Another great day riding with great temps. They varied from 50-65 degrees until we got near Whitefish, Mt. The border crossing was almost uneventful except for the border officer making a sarcastic comment about hoping that I would become more aware as the day wore on. Apparently I was supposed to stop at the TWO stop signs and flashing lights. These law-enforcement types have no sense of humor. The temps hovered from 90-95 degrees from Missoula to I-15 near Butte then back down to high 80s after we turned south. We're stopped for the night in Dillon,Mt. We may try to make it all the way to the truck in Colorado tomorrow or not. We're having too much fun, don't want it to end.

We're in Vernal, Utah for the night. We rode in temps down to 45 degrees this morning for about an hour. It did not get above 70 until we got around Salt Lake City then back down to the 80s until we got to Vernal. I've been feeling under the weather the last day or so, don't know if it' a cold or just sinus problems. The temperature changes so many times every day from low to high back to low. It's hard to know how to dress when we leave out in the morning. We should make it back to the truck and trailer in Colorado tomorrow and then we start for home.Gator

We are still both alive and once again headed for home. We are in Batesville, Miss. For the night and should have about a five hour drive home tomorrow. We have been in the truck since Fridayabout 1:30 P.M. We left Vernal , UtAh on Friday morning and had a great ride into Colorado on US 40 passing through Craig and Steamboat Springs and riding through Rabbit Ear Pass. great scenery and it never got above 65 degrees while on the bike that day. About 15 miles from where we left out truck we stopped for lunch. Wanda had a phone call that one of het Uncles had passed away about an hour earlier. He lived in McClouth, Kansas about 30 miles northwest of Kansas City. We loaded up the bike and our gear and started out for Kansas stopping in Goodland Ks. For the night on Friday. We drove the rest of the way to McClouth on Saturday and arrived at her aunt's home around noon. Two of her aunts live there also and were sisters to the deceased uncle. We spent the rest of the weekend visiting with many of her relatives and had a large get-together last night in Kansas City where she got to spend some time with them, many whom she hadn't seen in 30 years or more. We still would not be able to stay for the funeral on Wednesday afternoon but she enjoyed visiting with them. We left ther this morning around 6:30 but decided not to push it all the way home. After our lunch stop at Lambert's Restaurant. In Sikeston, Mo. we were to full to keep going much further. We did catch a "Throwed Roll" and ate it with some sorghum molasses with our meals yummmm. Can't wait to get home tomorrow. It's been a long fulfilled trip with lots of great riding and scenery but we can' t top the the adventure of the Dixie 4,s trip up to Alaska. Maybe some day?

Home at last, got home about 11:30 this morning with no problems enroute. Almost finished unpacking and putting things away. We had a great trip but it's always good to be home, for a little while at least.
