Rally

Safe Travels V&M,

Russ and I are headed up on Monday. Will spend the first night in Lexington, Ky at a friends house. Will probably do a 6 hr day on Tues and then arrive on Wed morning.

Suz and I are leaving out tomorrow morning. We are going to spend this weekend in Vermilion Ohio on Lake Erie where I grew up. We will make it over there on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing you there also.

I am heading out on Saturday, my plans are to do a ride with the BMW riders in Chattanooga for lunch in N. GA and then I will head north...may stop at Ironhorse for the prime rib on Saturday night... My son will join me on the ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway on Sunday and Monday and then ...I to Bloomsburg and he will return back to Bryson City....

Figure the Blue Ridge may be cooler.... I will jump over to 220 or 219 somewhere along the way...

National Rally



I'm considering going, but I am not 100% sure yet. There are still a few details to be ironed out before I can hit the road!

Well my plans have changed due to my mom, she had heart attack while at beauty salon in Guin, quick action by hairdresser and local EMS was transferred to NWMC and then DCH ....then after heart catheterization procedure she is resting pain free....so with my trusty IPAD and totally wifi facility I am able to pass time a little better. Looks like a few days here and then to get things figured out on her at home care. I will cancel the SPOT link.
Those going have a great safe trip, ride and rally.

Rally Trip ...


It looks as if my loose ends are working out that I will be able to go. I am planning on leaving Monday morning and riding to Cherokee, NC. Then on Tuesday I am planning on riding the full length of the Blue Ridge Parkway. On Wednesday I am planning on riding the full length of Skyline Drive, and then on to the Rally. ... When the Rally is over, I am debating riding over to "Ground Zero" in NYC, then to Philly for a day or two, and D.C. for a day or two, and then work my way back home (unless my plans get changed )

.... good point. I wasn't thinking about Brierfield when I was thinking of being a tourist and taking the long way home. Yes, I will be back for Brierfield, and both Robin and I are planning on spending the night in the cabin, and we're planing on at least two of our four youngin's coming out too, but they have a habit of not being where they said they'd be, so at this point I can't guarantee that they'll be there. If they don't show, I'll see if I can drag someone else out, - and failing that, I'll still pay for their empty bunk (unless somebody else wants to take it?)
