Hi Alabeemers.
Here is another good reason to go to Shellmound this weekend. We are going to work up an appetite for Tommy and Jeannine's outstanding BBQ and trimmings dinner by riding the mountain roads above Nickijack Lake. We will leave the camp ground at 9-9:30 (eastern time) am on SR 27 to Powell's Cross Roads then southeast on Suck Creek Road then northeast on the W Road to east along the Brow Road before riding down the mountain to Pandora's.
Justin and the gang are going to have Subway sandwiches and beverages ready for our complementary lunch. After lunch and visiting Pandora's, we will head back to the camp ground via the W Road to US 127 then southwest on SR 283 and SR 27.
The route goes along some of the very best roads in the area. The W Road reminds me a little of some of the pass roads in the Swiss Alps and is one of the most technically complex rides in the southeast. You will definitely need to be in first gear and looking where you want to go on this great motorcycling road.
We should return to the camp ground at 3:30 ish.
Please have a full tank of fuel and and empty bladder (FTEB) prior to our 9:30 (eastern time) departure.
