It is a Hospital in Chattanooga associated with the University of TN.
http://www.erlanger.org/ Don't know if that is where he is but someone in the know should let us know for sure.

Don't know if the offender has been caught or not...I sure hope so though...

Jennifer has asked that everyone hold off for now. Of course he is still in ICU and could not receive visitors anyway.

According to reports I got this morning, the surgery done so far went well although I understand there will be more surgery to come on his arm. He is going to be in for a lengthy recovery period and will need our support through that.

Erik is fortunate to have such a great and caring club for support and most especially the Huntsville crew! you guys are fantastic!

Let's all pray for a speedier than expected recovery! Best wishes my friend...we are all out here pulling for you!!!

          from Jennifer & Eric

          HI All, (It's me Lori)

I'm in close contact with Jennifer and she has asked me to send a huge thank you to all!
Your prayers and well wishes have been heard and Erik is doing as well as can be expected.
Erik is hanging in there, He is officially being removed from ICU to a regular room tonight and tomorrow he will be having surgery on his wrist, they are asking for no visitors until a bit later as it hurts Erik to speak with the broken ribs, However they are very thankful for all of you keeping him close and in your prayers.
The Dr.s think he will be out this weekend, And then he will be moved to a health Care Rehab Center in Huntsville, we are not sure which it will be yet but as soon as they know , I will let you all know as well and keep you updated, each day gets better for both of them.
I would personally like to request those who wish to be very helpful to contact me at 256 527 2014,
There will be a time and it will come quickly when she may need help at home maybe a couple hours of hanging out with Erik so she may go to a movie and grocery shop or perhaps even a manicure, who knows, point is he will not be able to be left unattended, and that's where they both will really need the help, I have her calendar so once he is out of rehab if anyone cares to help in that way or any other way you can think of, I can take care of the schedules.

          Thank you all
          Lori Dendy

            Erik Back in ICU

He had a "little hiccup" yesterday when they tried to place a filter in his artery to catch blood clots, so they sent him back to ICU to keep an eye on him. They were supposed to work on his wrist yesterday but couldn't because of the arrhythmia. Lori is supposed to shoot me an email later with more details.

Eric has been moved to an intermediate ICU with restricted visiting hours. Apparently someone with "connections" got in to see him before family was allowed in. He is on the 6th floor Rm 6131, #5. He is having visitors if you happen to be in the area, but hours are: 9a-11a, 2p-3p, 5p-6p, and 8p-9p.
Please don't inundate him and all flood in at once. He and Jennifer are going to need it later when he gets set up in a rehab facility (yet to be named) in Huntsville. All of the ones on the list are convenient and easy to find. He should be relocating shortly after his wrist is repaired.

Mike and I didn't hear about Erik's accident until yesterday. Please tell him we are thinking of him.

Wish we were closer so that we could lend a hand every now and then. We know how difficult this situation is for the whole family.

Tell Erik we'll work on some midnight snacks when he's ready.

                    Hang in there, Eric.
If Jennifer needs a place to stay, my son said she could stay at his house if needed. He lives south of Chattanooga.

Just came back from visiting Eric, Jennifer and Emily in Erlanger. He is still having a lot of pain, Pain control is a big issue and he can only tolerate company for short periods. The wrist still has not been fixed, that is the hold up getting transferred down to Hsv. The surgery keeps getting bumped for other major traumas. The Knife and Gun Club of Chattanooga must be in full swing. So, they schedule, he can't have anything to eat for 8-10 hours before, it gets bumped from 9am to 12n, then to 3pm or later, so they finally decide to feed him around 9pm. Makes for a long day. PT interrupts whenever it is inconvenient, to do their thing. He finally got transferred to a "chair" and wheeled out into the hall for a change of scenery. By the time he was able to relax and loosen his grip on the side rail, he was almost his old Eric self. No word yet on a Huntsville location. No word yet on the scum bag.

We know that there are Orthopedic Docs in HSV, you would think they could get him transferred there for the wrist surgery. Pull some strings Jeanne.

I got the Ortho Docs, problem is not just the logistics with 2 more moves but hospitalists and coordinating MD's to take over the other problems right now. The more that can be resolved under one roof, the better off all things will be. If it gets too far out though, something will be done.

Good to hear that Erik made his first trip into the hall --- even if it was in a chair. That always lifts the spirits.

The delays may be working in his favor. As long as the delays don't make the wrist surgery more difficult, he can use the additional time to build up a little strength.

The transfer to Huntsville will be exhausting. More time for healing before the trip will only make it easier.

Waiting till I hear he's feeling better before trying to call. Please keep us posted.
