Great news Eric. Hope everything continues to progress well for you so you can get up and walking. Can't believe those "senior citizens" got tired of your talking, did you offer them some peanuts? Keep healing buddy.

Erik, Good to hear you are doing well. We missed you in PA. It was smokin' hot up there. Heat index of 110+. Jim and I took the 12' Kelty tarp and could have sold tickets for seats in the shade. We took lots of boiled peanuts from Walmart and laid them in the sun to heat up. We made it an Iron Butt coming home in 16 hours and 1000+ miles.

Suz and I went by to visit Eric today. He is upbeat and working hard on his rehab. He showed us his exrays and it looks like he is bolted together pretty well. He is fortunate that he did not suffer serious internal organ damage as well as all the broken bones. However, he will be in rehab for another month before he can put any weight on his hips. All this has put a tremendous burden on his wife Jennifer so please remember her as well.

                      Polly Wright

                      Hi Erik:
Man, I found out about your accident, and this is the first time I've been able to send a message. I surely do hope you will be like new real soon. I don't think I could work that Chicken Rally without you. I never get tired of hearing you talk, and I'm a senior citizen. ha ha!

As others have told you, please let me know if you, and Jennifer need anything. I'm about 2 hours from Huntsville, so I could be there to help if you need me. I'm old, but not as slow as some my age.

Please take care of yourself, as it seems you are working hard to get back to
                      "normal", whatever that is.

Love, and prayers to you, Jennifer, and Emily.

                      Polly

                          Hi all,
The back brace came off yesterday. Today I had my first shower since the 25th of June (sitting). The things you really miss... Physical therapy is keeping me busy. I have a Doctors appointment Thur., I hope to get load bearing clearance for my legs then. If so I can work on trying to stand again which is going to be a lot of fun!

Thanks for the continued thoughts and prayers.

We're glad to here that you are progressing well. Progress sure is slow when it is yourself doing the waiting. I will be in the Chattanooga area in a couple weeks waiting on a grandbaby and we hope to make it over to see you then.
I will also miss you at Kinderfest this year as I have a new 8 yr aged bourbon to test out.
