Don says that he has been more pain-free today than at anytime since the accident. He is still taking the pain killers about every 4 hours but even without them the pain is manageable. We think it is because the doctor got the 2 pieces of the tibia secured and it stopped the grinding/grating that was causing the pain.
He had a good night and was able to sleep much better since the "oil derrick" was no longer attached to his leg. The dressing he has now is very large but smooth and doesn't get hung on sheets, etc.
Thanks, again, for all the thoughts and prayers. We plan to see you all at the Christmas party next month.
