The English language is a wonderful way to communicate, especially when used correctly. Change to: were both married at that location.

In no way could I have imagined that any one who read that would or could believe I said Brother Bill's children were married to each other.

However, you are correct in that the English Language is a very difficult way to communicate, especially when it is written, rather that spoken, so that the reader does not have the benefit of inflections. When written, word order or syntax is the only means of indicating function and is easily misinterpreted. I am an expert at misinterpretation.

Both of our lame attempts at humor didn't work very well.

I thought you and Malvene were going to the Shiloh Rally. I was going, and set the alarm for 5am Saturday morning, but woke up feeling bad. This is the first Shiloh Rally I have missed in about 15 years.

I just talked to Larry and he said that we won the most attendees award with 24 folks. Also said that 18 Super Heros paraded.

We were going to Shiloh but Malvene's mom had a mastectomy due to cancer on Wednesday so caring for her takes precedent over m/c activities. Otherwise we seldom miss Shiloh.

Route to the Rib Fest - Detour

Riders using the route to the rib fest outlined in the current newsletter should be aware of a detour around the first section of Elm St. (Bridge replacement under construction.) You will have to continue south on US31 to the next signal at Pryor Street. Turn west on Pryor St. to Elkton St (in front of Athens College), go north on Elkton St to the next signal (Elm St) take a left (west) on Elm St and continue to Hwy 127.
A better alternative may be to continue north on I65 to exit 361(Elkmont), Go west on Sandlin Road and continue through Elkmont on Upper Ft. Hampton to Hwy 127 (just pass Old Gin BBQ). Then take Hwy 127 north.
